Health Ministry instructs construction of temporary health institutions at local level



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health ad Population (MoHP) has instructed 649 local levels lacking health institutions to construct temporary five-bed hospitals each.

The direction has come through the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration acting on a Cabinet decision to this regard on August 29 at a time when health institutions at local levels lack beds to admit COVID-19 infected patients.

According to the Ministry’s co-spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, the directive has been issued for the treatment of the people infected and to prevent and control the infection.
