Lumbini Provincial Hospital shuts NICU unit

BUTWAL:  The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) under the Lumbini Provincial Hospital has been shut down after five health workers tested positive for the coronavirus.

Issuing a press note on Wednesday, the hospital said the NICU unit will remain closed until the further notice for disinfection after five health workers of the unit were diagnosed with COVID-19.

The other services, however, will remain open, said Dr Bishnu Gautam of the hospital.
