Nepal Police IGP Chhetri directs police personnel to demonstrate professionalism



KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Shailesh Thapa Chhetri has instructed the subordinate police personnel to be active in the implementation of the policy and action plan of the organization by giving up personal interests.

At a special function held at the Police Headquarters on Thursday, he instructed the police officers and police personnel to move forward by fighting the problem.

IGP Chhetri urged all the police personnel to be fully supportive in resolving the various challenges the organization is facing in the current situation.

He further instructed not to consider his modesty as a weakness.

Stating that the performance appraisal of any police personnel will be done in the coming days as specified in the law and on the basis of seniority and statistics, he urged all police personnel to demonstrate their high professionalism.

He said that the organization has always been active in the development and welfare of the police personnel, and stressed on the need for every police personnel to be mentally and physically healthy in order to fulfill the objectives of the organization.
