President, Vice President aggrieved over human loss in Bahrabise landslide



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun have expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in a landslide that occurred at Bahrabise of Sindhuplachok district.

At least two persons were killed and over a dozen went missing in the landslide.

President Bhandari took to Twitter and expressed her grief over the death of the people and damage of houses and physical infrastructures in the landslip. She also drew the attention of the concerned authority to provide rescue operations, relief materials and rehabilitation at the earliest.

Similarly, Vice President Pun offered his condolence to the deceased and the bereaved families.

In a statement issued on Thursday, he expressed his hope that the state mechanisms would make its rescue efforts effective. He wished speedy recovery of the injured ones. Also, the Vice President asked all sides to adopt preparedness to deal with natural disasters while dealing with COVID-19.
