The committee has decided to carry out monitoring after discussing with the Nepal Reconstruction Authority on Thursday.

The term of the Nepal Reconstruction Authority is ending on December 25. In this situation, the committee has instructed the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to clarify how to move ahead with the under-reconstruction process.

It has also instructed the Nepal Reconstruction Authority to expedite the construction work by managing the resources of the monasteries and institutions of archaeological significance during the reconstruction and to create a working environment within the stipulated time through inter-agency coordination.

The meeting on Thursday was attended by Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Reconstruction Authority Sushil Gyawali and other employees of the authority.

The Authority was formed by the then parliament in 2073 BS to rebuild private houses and public properties after the devastating earthquake on April 25, 2015. The term of the authority was fixed for four years.
