Landslips disrupt traffic along Besisahar-Chame road section

LAMJUNG: The incessant rainfall happening since Wednesday in Lamjung has disrupted the traffic along the Besisahar-Chame road section from early morning today.

The officials said that landslips have taken places at several points in Besisahar Municipality-7 and Marsyangdhi Rural Municipality along the road section.

The road has been damaged by mudslides at Kharkhare cliff and the road along the both sides in Puwakhola (river) is also disputed by the landslips, said Suman Adhikari, a Sub-Engineer at Road Division Office, Damauli.

He added that he is not certain about the time needed to clear the landslides but said that preparations are ongoing to deploy excavators for the debris clearance.
