Sindhupalchowk floods in 10 pics



KATHMANDU: Landslides triggered by monsoon rainfall have swept away 15 houses in Jambu village of Nepal’s Sindhupalchowk district, killing at least two people.

As many as 18 others have gone missing in the landslides.

According to Mayor Nimphunjo Sherpa of Bahrabise Municipality, flooding in Khagdal and Aadhikhola rivers have swept away bridges and roads, causing difficulties for human mobility.

Two bodies have been recovered from the swollen river, police said.

The security personnel are struggling to reach the affected sites as the roads are collapsed due to the flooding and landslides at different points, officials said.

Likewise, the swollen Bhotekoshi River has damaged different places along the Bahrabise-Tatopani road section of Araniko Highway.

The incessant rainfall has caused a huge damage in different areas in Tatopani in the district.

Superintendent of Police of Sindhupalchowk Prajjwal Maharjan said that the security teams are reaching the site, RSS said. Details are awaited.
