4,107 vehicles impounded in Kathmandu Valley for violating lockdown

KATHMANDU: Traffic Police have impounded 4,107 vehicles in Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday for violating the lockdown.

According to the traffic police, the vehicles were taken under control in Kathmandu Valley from 6 am to 7 pm.

Of them, 3,647 are two-wheelers and 460 are four-wheelers.

The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has set up checkpoints at 155 places during the day and 45 places at night.

Chief of the Division Bhim Dhakal urged not to be misled by the false information that the lockdown has been eased, to follow the lockdown completely and to adopt high-security vigilance.

He said that action has been taken against those who misusing the pass issued during the lockdown period.

A total of 61,406 vehicles have been booked for violating the lockdown enforced since March 24.
