Tzu Chi Foundation donates 70 pieces of multi-use beds

BHAKTAPUR: Two Holding Centers that have been established in Bhaktapur district to bring home the returnee migrant workers are provided with 70 pieces of multi-use beds from Tzu Chi Foundation.

Representatives of the Tzu Chi Foundation jointly handed over the health materials to Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur Humkala Pandey, Chief of Nepal Army Birdal Battalion Shiva Poudel, Superintendent of Police Sabin Pradhan of Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur and Superintendent of Armed Police Force, Bishwa Bhattarai.

The multi-use folding beds could be used even as chair too and are portable, the Foundation’s representatives said.
Of the 70 beds, Nepal Army has used 50 while Nepal Police are using 20.

The beds would be kept under the Disaster Management Committee in the district and would be brought in use during the time of disaster anytime.

Meanwhile, Nepal Red Cross Society, Bhaktapur Chapter is working to fix ten water tanks by fixing sensor on them. A total of Rs 500,000 is estimated to cost in order to fix the water tanks, Chapter’s President Manoj Kumar Thapa said.
