Kohalpur Teaching Hospital closed



NEPALGUNJ: The Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital at Kohalpur in Banke district has been closed from today.

The hospital has been closed after two patients from Achham district who had been admitted to the hospital tested positive for coronavirus infection.

The Achham district-based Bayalpata Hospital had referred one pregnant woman and another person with problem in his intestine to Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital at Kohalpur for treatment.

A test carried out on these two patients at Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital Kohalpur showed that they had coronavirus infection, Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital Kohalpur’s deputy director Dinesh Shrestha said.

Preparations had been made to carry out surgery on these patients but it has been stopped after coronavirus infection was found in them.
