Nepal’s largest solar system to come into operation soon



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is all set to produce electricity from the country’s largest Nuwakot-based solar plant system in the next two months.

The construction of the 25-MW solar plant is almost complete. The NEA plans to produce energy within mid-May as per the energy mix concept.

Works have been expedited to produce the 15 MW electricity, out of the total 25, by mid-May, according to the NEA.

The plant placed in the land of NEA-owned Devighat Electricity Center and power to be generated will be directly connected to the national grid.
