Province-2 govt to start radio, printing press



JANAKPURDHAM: The government of Province 2 is set to start its own radio station and a printing press.

A meeting of the cabinet made the decision to this effect.

Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Gyanendra Yadav said that they are holding discussions with the technical team in this regard.

He said that the Province-2 government is targeting to open the radio station and the press by this fiscal year.

According to him, the state government will establish a station of 1000 watt capacity in the Radio Madhes building.

Likewise, two towers will be installed for transmission respectively in Rajbiraj and Birgunj.

The publication house, meanwhile, will print documents at the initial phase and will publish provincial journals and even broadsheet newspapers later.
