Family of coronavirus whistle-blower doctor to get £90,000

BEIJING: Despite its attempt to cover up the warning of Coronavirus hinted by Dr. Li Wenliang when the public came up for the support of ‘hero’ medic Dr. Li, the family of this coronavirus whistle-blower doctor is being paid £90,000.

Social media frenzy against the government’s alleged misbehaviors to the doctor and the poor care shown when he suffered made the government recognize the deed of the whistle-blower and honor him.

‘He wasn’t allowed to speak. He wasn’t even allowed to die,’ wrote one person on popular messaging app WeChat as she commented on a circulating notice which apparently instructed all media outlets to suppress the coverage of the passing of Dr Li Wenliang.

Web-users created cartoons and shared protest songs ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’ to show their fury.

Beijing allegedly demanded reports of his passing be censored before the hospital declared his death hours later. The Communist Party said it was sending its anti-corruption watchdog to Wuhan to investigate the matter.
