Govt decides to end repatriation flights

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to end repatriation flights.

The decision was taken by the COVID 19 Crisis Management Center Steering Committee while setting the agenda to be taken to the cabinet meeting.

A meeting of the committee held on Sunday has taken such a decision for the recommendation in the cabinet meeting.

“It has been decided not to conduct the rescue flight for the citizens living abroad on a regular basis,” said Mahendra Guragain, Secretary of the Center, while talking to reporters after the meeting.

He also informed that the Ministry of Culture has decided to arrange regular flights to other countries including those of South Asia.

The meeting also decided to recommend the government to open cable car services.
