Road Office to build disabled-friendly roads in capital



KATHMANDU: The Division Road Office, Kathmandu, is set to construct disabled-friendly roads in different places in the current fiscal year.

Chief of Division Kuber Nepali said that the task has already been initiated in the vicinity of Singha Durbar.

He added that separate tracks for commuters would be constructed in the first stage considering the flow of the commuters.

This, he said, will be gradually expanded to different areas.

Similarly, the Division Office is preparing to construct roads for commuters in the under-construction roads.

The road for commuters is developed along the under-construction Gaushala-Chabahil road section.

Likewise, the commuters will have own road along the Koteshwor-Jadibuti section.
