36 new COVID-19 cases including 27 from Chitwan reported



KATHMANDU: As many as 36 new coronavirus cases including 27 from Chitwan district have been reported in the country.

Out of 27 new cases confirmed during PCR tests at the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital, 25 are from Chitwan while two others are from Nawalparasi (60-year-old man) and Doti (41-year-old man).

According to a press note issued by the hospital on Wednesday evening, 12 males and five females are from Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Similarly, the new cases include two males and two females from Khairahani, one male from Rapti municipality, two males and one female from Ratnanagar, said Dr Nitu Adhikari, the head of COVID-19 laboratory.

Likewise, nine additional cases have been confirmed in Gandaki Pradesh. According to the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, among those infected, eight are from Nawalpur and one from Lamjung.

Those infected in Gandaki Province are 21-year-old woman from Lamjung, Sundar Bazaar and four women and four men from Nawalpur.
