India records 78,809 COVID-19 cases in 24-hour period

KATHMANDU: India recorded 78,809 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 6,832,988.

Currently, 902,972 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 5,824,462 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 104,000-mark.

With 963 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 105,554, according to the data from Worldometers.
