Plasma therapy treatment a success in Bharatpur Hospital



CHITWAN: The Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan has been successful in treating the coronavirus patients and help them recover fully employing plasma therapy method.

A 51-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City ward no 12 has been recovered from the flu-like infection through this method.

The person had been admitted to the Hospital on September 15 after he had tested positive for the COVID-19.

He was admitted to the ICU after his helath condition started to deteriorate.

He was treated with the plasma therapy method since September 23 after which he recovered, informed Plasma Therapy Coordinator Consultant Physician Dr Kalyan Sapkota.

It is the first case of success for the Hospital here in curing the COVID-19 patients through plasma therapy.

The COVID-19 infected person had returned home on Tuesday upon full recovery.

The health workers and the hospital management have been elated and enthused after the plasma therapy’s success story among the COVID-19 patients.

The recovered ones have been urged to donate their plasma for the treatment of other COVID-19 patients.
