Valley’s CDOs hold meeting to take decision on prohibitory order

KATHMANDU: Three Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the Kathmandu Valley are holding a meeting on whether to continue the prohibitory order or not.

The three chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have started a virtual meeting to decide what to do next as the ongoing prohibitory order is going to expire on September 9 (Wednesday).

Kathmandu Chief District Officer Janak Raj Dahal told Khabarhub, “We are now consulting with experts on what to do about the restrictions.” Based on the experts’ suggestions, the three of us will hold a meeting and take a decision by tomorrow.”

The government had issued a prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley since August 20 after the number COVID-19 infection cases increased in the Valley.
