42-yr-old man dies of COVID-19 in Banke

BANKE: A 42-year-old man has died from the coronavirus in Banke district.

The coronavirus-infected man of Sitganga municipality-12, Arghakhanchi died in the course of treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College at 9:20 am today.

According to Naresh Shrestha, a COVID-19 focal person of Banke district, the patient had been suffering from acute pneumonia.

Tipper driver by profession, he had been admitted to Universal Medical College, Bhairahawa after he met with an accident on August 11.

On August 20, his swab had been collected after he showed symptoms similar to the coronavirus and its report came out positive on the next day, said Shrestha.

He was then referred to Nepalgunj Medical College for further treatment on August 27.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 8 in Banke district.
