NCP Spokesperson Shrestha demands resumption of Standing Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha has demanded to resume the meeting of the Standing Committee immediately.

The Standing Committee of the ruling party has been postponed indefinitely due to a dispute within the party.

“I would like to reiterate that we should immediately resume the meeting of the Standing Committee of our party to resolve the crisis. Let’s attend all the meetings and have our own thoughts and discussions,” he said in a social media post on Saturday.

Shrestha said that there should be a discussion on how to make a qualitative change in the status quo by rising above ego and prejudice.

He wrote, “Let the meeting find a way out to protect the party unity, qualitative change in the status quo and to prepare for the General Assembly as per the decision of the Central Committee.”
