Brazil reports 99,702 deaths, 2,967,064 infection cases



KATHMANDU: More than 99,000 people have died from the coronavirus in Brazil as of Saturday morning.

According to latest figures collated by Worldometer, 1,058 people died in a single day, taking the death toll to 99,702.

Likewise, 49,502 people were infected with the virus in the past 24 hours in the country. With this, the number of coronavirus cases has climbed to 2,967,064.

Currently, 798,668 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 2,068,394 have revered from the virus.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in last December, the deadly virus has killed 724,075 and infected 19,542,626 people across the world.
