CIAA nabs then Chief of Land Revenue Office Dillibazaar



KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has nabbed Govinda Adhikari, then Chief of Land Revenue Office Dillibazaar in corruption allegation.

According to CIAA sources, Adhikari, the then chief of Land Revenue Office Dillibazaar, is found connected with the corruption scam in which CIAA had cuffed 6 officials of Land Revenue Office on May 15.

The corruption control authority CIAA had arrested 6 from Dillibazaar office of the Land Revenue Office with 850 thousand bribe money on May 15.

CIAA spokesperson Pradeep Kumar Koirala turned skeptical and tried to refrain form answering questions related to the arrest.

“We cannot comment on issues under CIAA investigation,” Spokesperson Koirala said, “When we nab red-hand, we make the incident public, but when someone is called for investigation on some issues we inform the family members about taking the alleged under control and bring him/her under our control.”

Land Revenue Office staff had demanded bribe for helping in the plotting of certain field.

The CIAA had taken Raghu Bansha Kandel, Uddav Sapkota, Narayan Prasad Pokharel, Nava Raj Ghimire, Gopal Khadka and Deepak Khanal of Dillibazaar office on May 12.

They arrested the people from Sky Party Palace located at Tokha Municipality-9, Samakhushi with the money they had received as bribe.

CIAA has intensified its investigation on the issue.
