Bardiya reports 18 new COVID-19 cases



BARDIYA: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 18 more people in the district on Monday.

According to Gokarna Giri, head of the Health Office, Bardiya, a total of 18 people, including two from Barbardia Municipality, four from Madhuwan Municipality, nine from Basgadhi Municipality and three from Thakurbaba Municipality, have tested positive.

The tests were carried out at the Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital.

All those infected were living in the municipality’s quarantine.

Their samples were tested through PCR after they had tested positive through the RDT method.

All those infected are said to be kept in isolation rooms set up in the respective municipalities.
