16 more coronavirus cases in Karnali Province, tally hit 657



KATHMANDU: Coronavirus has been confirmed in 16 more people in Karnali Province.

The Karnali Province Health Services Division of the Ministry of Social Development issued a statement confirming that 16 more people in the Province have been infected.

Among the newly-infected, 10 are from Dailekh, five from Salyan and one from Surkhet.

With the addition of 16 cases, the number of cases in Karnali Province has reached 657.

Dailekh has turned out to be the hotspot of coronavirus in Karnali province. The increasing number of people coming from India has led to a fear that the virus would spread to the communities.

Around 42,000 people are expected to return home from India, with 12,000 already arriving.
