COVID-19 kills 36, 499, infects 691,962 in Brazil



KATHMANDU: The death toll from Coronavirus in Brazil has crossed 36, 000 in the last five months. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 36, 499 after 542 new deaths were reported.

With 18,375 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 691,962 so far.

Currently, 353,379 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 302,084 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 406,107 and infecting 7,086, 008 people as of Monday morning.
