Lightning kills two in Rolpa



ROLPA:  Two people died after being struck by lightning in Rolpa district on Thursday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Bhim Bahadur BK, 63, and Chitra Pun, 40 of Lungri rural municipality, said ward chairman Amrit Gharti.

Lightning struck BK and Pun to death on the spot while they were reaping wheat harvest at 8:30 am today.

Houses of both  Pun and BK sustained damages in the lightning strikes said DSP Chitra Bahadur Gurung.

Meanwhile, a team of security personnel from Sirpa and Area Police Office, Sulichaur has reached the indent site.
