COVID-19 death toll in Brazil climbs to 8, 566



KATHMANDU: Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 8, 566 after 645 died in the last 24 hours.

With 11, 433 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 126, 148 as of Thursday morning.

Currently, 66, 212 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 51, 370 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 212 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 264,252 and infecting 3,814,593 people as of Thursday morning.
