Parliament Secretariat deposits Rs 10 million in COVID-19 fund

KATHMANDU: The Parliament Secretariat has deposited Rs 10 million to the government’s Coronavirus Infection Prevention, Control and Treatment Fund on Tuesday.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and National Assembly (NA) Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina have deposited an equal Rs 67,320 in the fund as NA Vice-chairman Shashikala Dahal has deposited Rs 70,730.

Likewise, 195 lawmakers of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have deposited Rs 6.3 million in the fund and other lawmakers and parliament Secretariat’s employees have contributed to the fund.
