These industries can be operated during lockdown

KATHMANDU: It has already been two weeks that the government has imposed lockdown and on Monday, it extended the lockdown till April 15.

However, the government has decided to give permission to operate some industries during the lockdown but with some restrictions.

According to the government decision, Janak Education Material Centre, Melamchi Drink Water Project, Upper Thamakoshi Hydropower Project, Bhairawa Regional Airport, Pokhara Regional Airport, Feed Industries and similar to it.

To operate these industries during the lockdown periods, industries should manage the residential workers, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Chandra Ghimire said.

Similarly, they should not be allowed outside the premises and should follow strictly social distancing.

Furthermore, industries should provide Mask, Sanitizers and should check fever regularly to all the working staff and should manage the ambulance in case of emergency.
