NEB postpones board exams of Grade 11, 12 indefinitely

KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has postponed the exams of grades 11 and 12 until further notice.

A meeting of the Board held on Tuesday decided to postpone the exams citing ‘unfavorable condition’ in view of the increase in coronavirus cases and the lockdown.

According to Chandramani Poudel, Chairman of the Board, the NEB has been compelled to take the decision to postpone the exam due to the lockdown enforced in the country.

The Board said it will issue a notice of the exam after the government lifts the lockdown.

The examination of Grade 12 was scheduled to be held from April 20. Likewise, the examination of Grade 11 was scheduled from May 3.

A total of 9,62,000 students were sitting for the exams.
