KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister of Libya Mahmoud Jibril has died from the coronavirus.
Jibril, 68, died on Sunday in Cairo where he had been hospitalized for two weeks, said the National Forces Alliance party, founded by Jibril in 2012.
The former head of the Libyan rebel government had overthrown longtime ruler Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
Jibril was interim leader until the country held its first free elections in 2012 following the removal of Gaddafi.
