Three arrested for hacking website of Public Service Commission



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three people on the charge of hacking the site of the Public Service Commission (PSC).

The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police arrested them from Kaski.

Among the arrested are Bibek Maharjan, 25, of Sanagaun in Mahalaxmi Municipality-9 of Lalitpur and two others, aged 17 and 15, of Pokhara Metropolitan City, according to the bureau.

They have been accused of hacking the site and transmitting false information.

“We are investigating allegations of unauthorized access to the commission’s website and misinformation,” said SSP Navind Aryal, the Bureau’s Chief, “The investigation was started after a complaint was lodged with the Bureau of hacking.”
