Lyricist and musician Jagat Mardan Thapa passes away

KATHMANDU: Lyricist and musician Jagat Mardan Thapa has passed away at the age of 85 years in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

According to the family, Thapa was undergoing treatment against coronavirus pandemic at Norvic Hospital.

An honest civil servant, diligent artist, composer, writer and singer, Thapa has got dozens of songs recorded in the studio of Radio Nepal.

His autobiography ‘Karmashil Jivan Yatra’ was released in 2019.
