Schools to resume in Biratnagar from Jan 14



MORANG:  Schools are set to resume from January 14 in Biratnagar Metropolitan City.

Mayor of Biratnagar metropolis Bhim Parajuli said the decision to resume schools has been taken since the cases of COVID-19 pandemic have subsided.

A meeting held on Sunday took a decision to reopen schools starting January 14, said Parajuli.

The schools will be reopened in consultation with guardians adopting necessary health precautions and an arrangement will be made to conduct classes in two shifts, added Parajuli.

The number of COVID-19 cases has reached 6,883 in Biratnagar so far.

The schools in Biratnagar have been closed since March 24.
