Humla reports 11 new COVID-19 cases

SIMKOT: As many as 11 security personnel have tested positive for coronavirus in mountainous district Humla. They were diagnosed to have been infected with coronavirus through contact tracing.

The contact tracing was carried out after a female security personnel working at Simkot Airport tested positive for coronavirus on December 3.

Out of 12 swab samples sent to Surkhet after collecting them on December 4, reports of 11 samples came out to be positive, said Bhakti Fadera, the information officer of Humla District Hospital.

With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in Humla has reached 78. Currently, active cases are 11 while 67 have recovered from the virus.
