BIRATNAGAR: A total of 498 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Province 1 in the last 24 hours.
There are 202 new cases in Morang, 138 in Sunsari, 92 in Jhapa, 16 each in Khotang and Udayapur, 8 in Ilam, 3 in Dhankuta, 2 each in Panchthar, Solukhumbu, Sankhuwasabha and Tehrathum, one in Bhojpur, and 14 outside Province 1, according to the Ministry of Social Development.
With the new cases, the coronavirus tally in the Province has reached 21,615.
Meanwhile, 527 people got discharged, taking total recoveries to 13,567.
