Likewise, an applicant can submit only one application. Applicants who submit more than one application will be disqualified from consideration.

Applicants are also required to submit a recent photo. The same photo from previous DV years will be disqualified, the US statement said.

The Embassy has also urged applicants to precisely follow the photo rules and associate each photo with the correct person on the application.

Applicants should not wear glasses in their photos.

Likewise, applicants need valid, unexpired passport information while filling the form. “This year’s entries must include the primary applicant’s passport number, country of issuance, and the passport expiration date,” the statement added.

Likewise, applicants are required to print and save their confirmation number, which is the only way to check the applicant’s status.

The only method to determine whether the applicant is selected for the DV is by entering the confirmation number at www.dvlottery.state.gov on or after May 8, 2021.

The DV Lottery program is administered by the United States Department of State.
