Home stay tourism inaugurated at Anantalinga Hill of Suryabinayak



BHAKTAPUR: Home stay service has been inaugurated at Dadhikot Anantalingeshwor Kailash hill in Suryabinayak Municipality-4 in the district.

The locals have been elated with the starting of this service in their area, hoping to welcome more tourists.

Mayor Basudev Thapa inaugurated the ‘Anantalinga Community Home Stay’ by cutting a ribbon tied across the gate leading to Anantalingeshwor.

One can get a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley from this hill. Similarly, the visitors can enjoy the enchanting views of sunrise and sunset from the hilltop.

One can also view the Himalayan Mountains. On the occasion, Mayor Thapa said all the three governments – federal, province and local – are working actively for developing the Suryabinayak area as a major tourism destination.

He also shared about the Municipality’s plan of developing a ‘Shiva Circuit’ linking the famous Lord Mahadev shrines located in all 10 wards of the municipality in order to promote religious tourism as well.

Mayor Thapa said the Municipality also has a plan to develop agriculture tourism and many other programmes.

The home stay has been started from seven houses in Anantalingeshwor for now and it will be gradually expanded.

The cost of one night home stay with food and accommodation is Rs 1,300 per person.
