India records 72,106 COVID-19 cases in 24-hour period



KATHMANDU: India recorded 72,106 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 6,754,179.

Currently, 908,335 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 5,741,253 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 104,000-mark.

With 991 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 104,591, according to the data from Worldometers.
