NRB directs banks to open all branches for three days



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has instructed all banks and financial institutions to open all their branches and counters for revenue collection.

NRB directed all the banks and financial institutions dealing with revenue collection to open all the branches and counters for three days starting on Tuesday.

Local bodies in several districts, including the Kathmandu Valley, have issued prohibitory orders to prevent and control the coronavirus. But, different taxes will have to be paid to the government by Thursday.

Entrepreneurs, however, have demanded the government extends the deadline.
