Kathmandu Valley reports 326 COVID-19 cases, three deaths



KATHMANDU: As many as 326 persons have been infected from COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 293 persons in Kathmandu, 13 persons in Bhaktapur and 20 persons in Lalitpur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus.

Likewise, three people died of the coronavirus in Kathmandu Valley. Three women aged 37, 90 and 83 years in Kathmandu succumbed to the pandemic.

Similarly, Nepal has confirmed 979 new coronavirus positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Currently, 16,259 are undergoing treatment in isolation. A total of 9,070 are in institutional isolation and 7,190 in home isolation.

A total 4,739 of have been quarantined, Spokesperson Dr. Gautam said.

Meanwhile, 1,736 COVID-19 patients were discharged from different hospitals and isolation centers.

So far, 30,677 people have been discharged across the country after recovery. The recovery rate now stands at 65 percent.

According to the Ministry, 11 people including lost their lives from coronavirus in the last 24 hours. With the new deaths, Nepal’s coronavirus death toll stands at 300.
