KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to hold its long-stalled Standing Committee (SC) meeting on September 11.

A meeting held between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and General Secretary Bishnu Paudel on Monday morning took a decision to this effect.

Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa informed that the SC meeting which was stalled since July 26 has been scheduled for September 11.

The SC meeting which had started since June 24 had been hit after the Dhahal-Nepal camp demaned  resignation of Prime Minister Oli from both of his posts (on July 28).

The intra-party feud of the NCP has thawed a little following the formation of a task-force to iron out differeces of the party.

Similarly,  an NCP Secretariat meeting held on Septemebr 3 decided to take Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam to the National Assembly.

With the decision, Minister for Finance and Communication and Information Technology has resigned from his post.

The SC meeting will dwell on reshuffling of the cabinet in the federal and provincial governments based on the report submitted by the task force, it is learnt.
