Delhi Metro resumes after 169 days

NEW DELHI: Metro trains in some cities of India have resumed on Monday, more than five months after they were stopped.

The services, however, have been resumed with protective measures against the coronavirus.

Only asymptomatic passengers are allowed to board trains.

The passengers are asked to download the Aarogya Setu app on their phones and will undergo thermal checks at the stations.

Under the guidelines, authorities have discouraged cash transactions and tokens.

The frequency of trains will be regulated to avoid crowding at stations and in trains.
