Palpa Hospital sealed after octogenarian diagnosed with COVID-19

PALPA: Palpa Hospital has been sealed after a patient undergoing treatment at the hospital tested positive for coronavirus.

All the services except for emergency ward have been closed since Sunday evening said Netra Pandey, the chairman of Palpa Hospital.

An 82-year-old woman of Tansen municipality-11 who was admitted to the hospital a week ago tested positive for the coronavirus.

The octogenarian is alo the mother of a staffer of Palpa Hospital.

The infected, her daughter, office assistant, doctors and other staffers have been kept in home quarantine following the confirmation of the coronavirus.
