PM Oli appeals to civil servants to devote their service for nation, people



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has urged the civil servants to get devoted for the development of the nation and to the service of the people.

While issuing a press release on the occasion of Civil Service Day today, PM Oli urged the civil servants to work with clean image and high morale for the development of the nation, and meeting the public aspirations.

PM Oli also opined that the civil servants should unite by following the spirit of national unity even to maintain good governance towards development and prosperity.

Similarly, Prime Minister Oli has expressed his respect to the frontliners who are working in this critical time created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

PM Oli has also mentioned that the civil servants have direct and indirect roles to play for the progressive change in political system.

The press release further reads that struggle and sacrifice of the civil servants against the tyrannical regime and to ensure their professional rights were positive and praiseworthy.

He further stated that the role of civil servants were more important and extensive in this democratic system.

The civil servants should maintain professional ethics and dignity by dissecting all kinds charges labeled against them civil servants, the PM added.

Prime Minister Oli further opined to institutionalize civil servants structure as per the federal set up in three-tier of governments that of federal, state and local level.

Prime Minister Oli also praised the roles of civil servants played in reaching reliefs and tackling disasters including COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters including flooding, landslides inundation and others.

The Civil Service Act was enforced in the country for the first time in 2013 BS during the premiership of Tanka Prasad Acharya.
