Govt efforts to contain COVID-19 effective: President Bhandari



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said the government’s efforts to contain pandemic were effective.

In a meeting with a delegation led by DPM Ishwor Pokharel, also the coordinator of the High-Level Coordination Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19, at her office on Friday, President Bhandari received the latest updates and preparations the government made to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.

President Bhandari however expressed worry over the increasing infection cases in the federal capital and workers compelled to lose jobs in the critical hours. She urged all to follow the government’s direction to contain the pandemic.

Also present on the occasion, Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali and Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal were present.
