PM Oli tests COVID-19 negative



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has tested negative for coronavirus.

Along with the prime minister’s, swab samples of Nepal Communist Party Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Subas Nembang, Law Minister Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe, Chief Political Adviser to the Prime Minister Bishnu Rimal, Foreign Affairs Adviser Rajan Bhattarai, Press Adviser Surya Thapa and Chief Personal Secretary Indra Bhandari were collected on Friday morning.

“Their reports have come negative,” said Press Adviser to PM Oli, Thapa.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Gyanendra Yadav, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Province 2, who had tested COVID-19 positive on Wednesday, had met Prime Minister, Home Minister, the Inspector General of Police and Law Minister among others in Kathmandu.

Minister Yadav had a meeting with Prime Minister Oli, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Home Secretary Maheshwar Neupane in Baluwatar.
