Krishna Mandir to remain closed on Krishna Janmashtami

LALITPUR: The Lalitpur Metropolitan City has decided not to open the Krishna Temple in Patan for pilgrims on Krishna Janmashtami, a festival commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna.

The day will be celebrated on coming Tuesday.

However, the famous temple will remain closed this year due to the COVID-19 fears.

Authorities have also urged people to celebrate the festival indoors this year.
