PM Oli’s advisor urges NCP leaders to avoid groupism

KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has been infuriated at Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and senior leaders trio Jhala Nath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Narayan Kaji Shrestha’s call for meeting with the editors to discuss about the internal disputes in the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

After finding that senior party leaders, including former Prime Minister and party Chairman Prachanda have called the editors to join the discussion at Marriott Hotel, PM’s political advisor Bishnu Rimal responded strongly against the decision.

Saying ‘enough in enough’ in the tweet, Rimal has mentioned NCP spokesperson, Naryan Kaji Shrestha in his tweet and urged to abstain from encouraging groupism and shameful involvement that may turn counter-productive to party unity.

“The country is in sensitive stage, let it be realized and ensured that no activities that affect the norms of unification of the party are carried out from any side,” Rimal tweeted further.

Knowing the outrage of the Prime Minister and his camp, the meeting set for 2 PM on Friday has been postponed.

Earlier, through telephone call at around 7 am, Prachanda’s Press Coordinator Bishnu Sapkota had invited the editors at Marriot Hotel for 2 PM.

Sapkota sent an SMS to all invitees at 12 noon and informed that the meeting had been postponed.
